After earning a Bachelor’s of Music at Indiana University’s Jacobs School of Music under the tutelage of Linda Strommen, Paul moved to Toronto in 2020 to study at the Glenn Gould School and the University of Toronto. There, he completed an Artist Diploma and Masters Degree respectively, under TSO Principal Sarah Jeffrey, graduating in 2024.
An advocate of new and underperformed music, as well as Canadian composers, Paul has performed with the Esprit Orchestra, Soundstreams, and Toronto’s 21C Festival, where he has been a part of numerous World and North American premieres. While attending the Miami Classical Music Festival as an Opera Fellow, he performed in classical and contemporary opera productions, including those by composers Osvaldo Golijov, Nico Muhly, and John Corigliano.
Outside of the concert hall, Paul has performed at the Toronto International Film Festival, and has recorded a solo short-film soundtrack for Emmy-Nominated director Joseph Karakora. He has participated in numerous orchestral and choral recording projects in the GTA.
Paul lives in Toronto’s West End with his orange one-eared cat, Louie. He enjoys evenings at his reed desk, long hikes in Southern Ontario, and cooking new recipes for friends. He is grateful beyond words to the four women who taught and continue to inspire him: Sarah Jeffrey, Linda Strommen, Jamie Roberts, and Elizabeth Schaefer.
